21世纪被人们称为“网络称雄”的时代，网络空间(cyberspace)将是本世纪重要的战略资源。网络经济对传统经济理论产生了重大影响，甚至改变着传统经济学中的许多理论。网络经济具有明显的规模效应，规模越大，用户越多，产品越具有标准性，所带来的商业机会就越多，其效益就越大，但是网络再神奇，它也不能脱离传统经济而独立存在。脱离了传统经济，网络经济就成了无水之源、无本之木。
